About the Role

Rehrig Pacific is seeking a Container Management Site Manager to lead our Cart Maintenance Program in partnership with our municipal customer. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who values safety, teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service.

The Site Manager is responsible for supervising a team of Cart Maintenance Drivers and Yard Technicians while also completing a daily cart service route at a reduced volume. In addition, this role owns P&L responsibility for the site and serves as the primary face of Rehrig Pacific to our customer.

Key Accountabilities

Safety Leadership (Top Priority)

  • Lead by example and reinforce Rehrig Pacific’s safety culture with a goal of zero accidents
  • Drive accountability through BBSOs, monthly safety & DOT training, safety calls, and annual vehicle/trailer inspections
  • Ensure daily compliance with Safety & DOT audit standards
  • Review Driver DVIRs daily and immediately correct safety issues
  • Reinforce safe driving, loading/unloading, and load securement practices every day

Customer Service & Program Excellence

  • Provide same-day response to customer calls, emails, and concerns
  • Meet or exceed customer work order service standards
  • Complete all “Hot Ticket” requests within defined customer parameters
  • Communicate service completion results the same day
  • Provide weekly inventory updates and proactively communicate projected shortages
  • Manage container scrap and warranty processes with full transparency
  • Maintain a consistent feedback loop through monthly customer conference calls

Financial & Operational Leadership

  • Achieve annual financial targets for the Cart Maintenance Program
  • Maintain gross profit levels aligned with yearly goals
  • Review monthly Account Comparison Reports and adjust operations as needed
  • Partner with the Cart Maintenance Manager on cost concerns and process improvements
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs for all site vehicles and trailers
  • Drive Service Operations RMS execution
  • Update Key Accountabilities (KAs) and performance metrics for frontline teams

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Drivers and Yard Technicians
  • Reinforce RPC’s mission, core values, and vision daily
  • Partner with National CM Manager and Human Capital to:
    • Identify strengths, growth opportunities, and future leaders
    • Implement onboarding, training, and retention plans
    • Cascade clear KAs aligned with Service Operations goals

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Maintain open communication with Sales regarding issues and successes
  • Partner with Safety and Quality teams to resolve concerns and improve processes
  • Serve as a trusted representative of Rehrig Pacific with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of safe driving experience
  • Supervisory or people-management experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook highly beneficial)
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL not required)
  • Ability to meet DOT medical card requirements
  • Successful completion of post-offer drug screen, background check, and MVR
  • Experience driving in all weather conditions preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull carts weighing 25–50 lbs
