Purpose of Role
The Operations Program Manager is accountable for the execution and sustained performance of large-scale manufacturing programs spanning multiple plants, molds, and external manufacturing partners. This role provides central program-level coordination and governance following initial production startup, ensuring alignment across functions, disciplined execution, and predictable operational outcomes. The role exists to reduce execution risk and scale repeatable deployments across strategic programs.
Areas of Accountabilities
Program Execution & Performance Monitoring
- Own production execution plans, tech solutions, milestones, and consolidated performance reporting across all plants and custom molders.
- Monitor post-startup production performance and ensure timely cross-functional corrective action when results deviate from plan.
- Identify execution risks, constraints, and dependencies and drive resolution through appropriate functional owners.
Internal & External Manufacturing Coordination
- Ensure alignment and coordination across internal plants and external custom molding partners.
- Hold external partners accountable to agreed production, quality, reliability, and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate mold and support equipment positioning, movement, and availability planning with Engineering and Tooling teams.
- Ensure smooth transition from Manufacturing Engineering following startup and Safe Launch completion.
Systems, Data Integrity & Knowledge Transfer
- Ensure accurate and aligned data, schedules, and work orders reflected across all systems.
- Provide accurate program reporting that supports decision-making and issue resolution.
- Ensure program documentation, lessons learned, and best practices are captured and standardized for reuse in future deployments.
- Enable repeatability and scalability of complex manufacturing rollouts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in program management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-site production launches or deployments.
- Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage execution risk across multiple plants, molds, and partners.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and production reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40%, with increased travel during major launches (up to ~75%).
