Purpose of Role

The National EHS & S Manager is responsible for developing and implementing high-level strategy related to keeping our family members safe and staying compliant to federal, state, and local regulations, This individual develops and continuously improves Rehrig Pacific’s EHS System to drive efficiency and effectiveness and promote our Safety-First culture. They also support the Operations team with risk assessment, harm reduction, hazard elimination, and documentation activities.

What You’ll Do:

As our National EHS & S Manager, you will:

  • Lead with vision: Design and implement Rehrig Pacific’s national EHS & S system, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and state-level regulations.
  • Protect our family members: Drive risk reduction, hazard elimination, and proactive safety programs across all sites.
  • Inspire a Safety-First culture: Build engagement programs, lead trainings, and mentor teams to proactively prevent risks—not just respond to events.
  • Drive results: Develop metrics, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives that align safety with business goals and operational excellence.
  • Be a trusted advisor: Partner with plant managers, leadership, and cross-functional teams to standardize best practices and ensure seamless compliance nationwide.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or EHS Management (preferred).
  • 7+ years of EHS leadership in manufacturing or industrial services.
  • Minimum 3 years leading single or multi-site compliance that corresponds to OSHA and state level regulatory authorities.
  • Proven success managing multi-site EHS programs and standardizing processes.
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and state-level regulations.
  • Strong track record with audits, compliance reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CPR, First Aid, or First Responder preferred.
  • Ability to travel (estimated travel 50%. i.e. every other week for 3-4 days).
